Jarret Myers has been playing guitar for 26 years and has made an honest living playing music for more than 15. He was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and has since tumbled his way through Texas, Nevada, and now restlessly lays his head in Los Angeles. Throughout his travels, he has worked with many bands, production shows, and singers, and has thousands of performances under his belt. As a frontman, Jarret has performed original music as the opening act for bands, including Roy Rogers, Walter Trout, Rick Estrin, Eric Sardinas, Coco Montoya, and Zac Harmon. As a working player, Jarret has played nearly every style of guitar including rock, pop, country, funk, blues, jazz, classical, fingerstyle, hip hop, and fusion. He is a proficient reader and can write and arrange charts for any band configuration.
He has studied with Michael Anthony, Joe Lano, Steve Maase, Fred Hamilton, Michael Chapdelaine, Frank Potenza, Bruce Forman, Bob Mintzer, Jeff Ray, Noel Johnston, Tim Kobza, Steve Trovato, and many more. He holds a Bachelor of music in jazz studies from North Texas, Master's of Music in jazz from UNLV, and a Doctorate from USC. He is always professional, on time, and well prepared - just ask around.
